Description
LEGO Serious Play (LSP) is an innovative and hands-on facilitation methodology used to enhance creative thinking, communication, and problem-solving within groups. Developed by the LEGO Group, it involves participants using LEGO bricks to build models that represent their ideas, experiences, or concepts. These models serve as metaphors that help participants express their thoughts more deeply and visually. The process encourages open dialogue and collaboration, making it easier for teams to explore complex issues, develop shared understanding, and generate creative solutions.
The method is grounded in the belief that everyone’s insights and perspectives are valuable, and the tactile nature of building with LEGO bricks helps engage participants in a unique and engaging way. The facilitator guides the process by asking questions and encouraging storytelling, helping participants connect their models to real-world challenges. LSP is often used in workshops for strategic planning, team development, leadership training, and innovation, providing a playful yet serious approach to address organizational challenges and opportunities.
